Music Concierge is an award-winning music consultancy that provides bespoke soundtracks to the luxury hotel, food and beverage and retail industries. Launched in 2007 by ex-DJ and Jockey Slut editor Rob Wood, Music Concierge customises playlists for hundreds of retail outlets, hotels, restaurants, bars and spas worldwide, including Harrods, Claridge’s, Dunhill and Mulberry. It is based in Hertfordshire and London. It also has representatives in other territories. ==Rob Wood== The founder and Creative Director of Music Concierge is Rob Wood. He set up the company in 2007 He is the author of ‘How To DJ’ (2005) in the Teach Yourself series and was editor of cutting-edge music magazine Jockey Slut from 1999-2001, then publishing group editor until 2003. He is music consultant to and compiles music collections for boutique hotel experts Mr and Mrs Smith. He was music programme director to the Lovebox Festival, held annually in London’s Victoria Park. He has over 20 years experience as a music journalist, disc jockey and music consultant and was named a ‘consultant of cool’ by Arena magazine (November 2008). Wood won the BT Essence of the Entrepreneur Award in 2007. He has written about music for Financial Times, Harpers & Queen, XLR8R, and Mixmag.
